After an injury shortened Julie’s ballet career, she headed for academia and received a B.S. in Health Education. Along with her studies, after being a dancer for so long, she still had the need to maintain a healthy physical well being. She got her first education as a trainer at the Vertical Club on the east side of Manhattan. There, taught by trainers competing internationally, she was taken under their wing, and taught the ropes by the “heavyweights”.
From there she moved forward and became nationally certified through the American Council on Exercise. She helped opened the second Vertical club and was a leading trainer there before she left for the prestigious Equinox Fitness club, which at the time was in the forefront of fitness with the leading trainers in the city.
After years with Equinox, she ventured out on her own with private clientele throughout the metropolitan area including LA during a 4 year stay there.
Over the years she has trained the average person looking to improve their fitness level to CEO’s with heart conditions, triathletes, pro snowboarders, pre & post natal women, golfers, dancers, 10-16 year olds having grown up with no physical education, an 85 year old with chronic osteoporosis, the multitudes with back injuries, neck injuries, shoulder injuries, those with sport specific goals and helping rehab from Lupus.
Her work is precise and specific to the needs of each of her clients. It’s what you want out of your session with her that you ask for and receive. In the event that there is something Julie is not familiar with she is constantly educating herself in order to increase her knowledge and guide her clients in the ways they need most.
